Future Frontier/Frontier Communications Grants and UI College of Engineering Scholarship
Grant and scholarship opportunities are open to applicants in greater Coeur d’Alene who are committed to a bright future for greater Coeur d’Alene through the use of technology. Youth and professional applications should showcase a project that will improve vitality and vibrancy of our region using technology. Proposals may integrate high tech industry education and training, promote robotics and engineering, or encourage innovation and entrepreneurialism.
Applicants in the Professional category, including organizations and individuals 18 years or older, have the opportunity to be awarded a total of $2,500. Youth applicants, including middle and high school students, will have the opportunity to be awarded $500 and a University of Idaho College of Engineering $500 scholarship. Grantees from both categories will be selected on-the-spot by the CDA 2030 Geared Toward the Future Annual Celebration attendees on July 28.
Process and Notification:
All qualifying applications will be reviewed by the CDA 2030 Grant Committee. Three to five applicants will be selected to participate in the on-the-spot selection process for both the youth and professional categories. Applicants will be notified by July 18. Applicants participating in the on-the-spot grant and scholarship process are required to attend the CDA 2030 Annual Celebration Event to present and promote their project to celebration attendees. A table space will be provided at the event for the purpose of introducing your project to attendees and educating them about how it promotes the improvement of our community through technology.
